Christian Studies:  Buddies!  We also continued to talk about the Sabbath, especially as it relates to the Jesus healing the man with the withered hand.

 Science:  We did a science experiment today.  Ask you student what happens to smoke over a cold surface and over a warm surface!  HW: In science notebook, write answers to "Reflecting on What You've Done," pg. 48, #1 (A through E)

Upcoming Events:
Fall Fest is this Saturday!  Come join the fun!  Do the cakewalk, enjoy the bounce houses, go on a run.  You can also enjoy some tasty food from our vendors, including a food booth put on by the 8th grade class.

Christian Studies: Memory test Friday.  Pastor Mark came to visit today and share a message with the class.

 Math 3: 2-5 #24-52 evens

 Science: Started discussing how surface temperature can affect the air above it in preparation for our lab inquiry tomorrow. 

Fall Fest Quick Finish Weekend!  If our school raises and additional $5,00 over this last weekend before fall fest, the students will earn a free dress day! I know 7th grade in particular was excited about the idea of a free dress day. In addition, 7th grade is over half way to earning their ice cream party.  If each student is able to bring in $50 more in donations this weekend, that will put us over the finish line!  Quick Finish Weekend packets are due for counting on Monday, Oct. 9th.  All packets are due for good (even if you did not collect any donations) on Thursday, Oct. 12th.

Picture packets went home today and should be returned for picture day.  School pictures are this coming Tuesday, Oct. 10th.

Today is Mid-Term already!  Progress reports will be coming home next week.

 Science: Test today.  Short worksheet due Monday if they didn't finish it in class.

Christian Studies: Memory test tomorrow, and turning in Christian Studies workbooks for grading.  Make sure any missed pages from absences have been filled in (lessons 51-57). Today we talked about the differences to expect between our natural bodies and our glorified bodies.

 Science:  Test tomorrow.  We spend the day reviewing for the test.  The study guide is also available on Google classroom.

 Science: Read "Joseph Henry: The Father of Weather Forecasting" pgs. 37-41.  Take some notes in your science notebook so you know the historical significance of Joseph Henry and how he was important to present day weather predication and answer the questions in Google Classroom.
