Christian Studies: Memory test today.

 Math 3:  Today was work time for the Math 3 study packets. These are to help students prepare for the cumulative test next Thursday that will be over topics studied all year. This test is one of several measures we will look at to determine math placement for next school year.


 6th Science: Test today.

 7th Science: Lesson 3 review pg. 143 and Unit Review pgs. 147-150, due Monday

 8th Science: Test today

Christian Studies: Memory Test tomorrow.

 Math 3: Chapter 12 test today.  Math 3 study packets were handed out. These are to help students prepare for the cumulative test next Thursday that will be over topics studied all year. This test is one of several measures we will look at to determine math placement for next school year.

 7th Science: Finish reading and notes for lesson 3.  Complete online quiz (open notes) for lesson 2.

Christian Studies: Memory Test today.

 Math 3: 

  • Due Tuesday: 12-7 WS Practice B, #1-4 (#5 Extra Credit); 
  • Due Wednesday: Study Guide Review pg. 672 #4-31, every 3rd problem (4, 7, 10,....), #35-38 all, #40-43 all
  • Chapter 12 test Wednesday

 6th Science: Read, notes, and vocab in notebook for pages 111-112.

 7th Science: Read, notes, and vocab in notebook for pages 115-117.

 8th Science: Read, notes, and vocab in notebook for pages 148-153 (worked on during class Friday). Section 3 review due Wednesday.  There will be work time in class next week.

Christian Studies: No memory test this week.

 Math 3: Study Guide Review #1-42 all, due next Monday.  Test next Monday.  Extra Credit: RTGO pg. 616 ALL questions - extra credit will only be given if all questions have been answered, and how much depends on the number correct.

 6th Science: Test today.

 7th Science: Read, take notes, write vocab, and answer questions over pages 88-91 (most finished in class).  Visual summary and lesson review due Monday.

 8th Science: Workday.  Section 3 review due today, chapter reviews due Monday.  Test next Tuesday.

 Grammar/Homeroom: Talked about the track meet and expectations today.

 Upcoming Events:

Fall Fest Fun day is Thursday, May 9th.  Wear your Last Day Spirit Wear, and you don't need to bring anything to school!  An A&W hot dog, chips, and water will be provided for lunch.  If you would like a snack or more for lunch, please bring it.

Friday, May 10th - No school for Staff Professional Day

The All-Christian Schools Track Meet is coming up Wednesday, May 8th.  

On Wednesday, May 8th is our All Christian School Track Meet at the Fran Rish Stadium (Richland HS) off of Lee Blvd.  The meet starts at 9am and goes to about 2:30pm. You may take your child directly to the track meet (please communicate this to your home room teacher) or you may drop your child off at school by 8 am so we can leave by 8:15 am.

We are in need of drivers:
           If you are able to help with driving please let your child’s home room teacher know that you can help out.  We will leave promptly at 8:15am on Wednesday.  Please consider driving a few students to and from the stadium and at BL park in the parking lot and walk in rather than stopping at the curb.  If you would like to drop off/pick up your child at the stadium, please drop off no earlier than 8:45am.  Your student must check in with Mrs. DeGraaf upon arrival.  

What to bring:
  • healthy lunch and snacks
    • While there will be a concessions stand, it will be limited.  Bring a lunch and snacks!
  • water bottle
  • Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses
    • It’s supposed to be warm (low 70’s) and sunny!
  • Wear your BLS PE Uniform
  • good attitude
  • towel / blanket to lay out on the grass

What NOT to bring:
  • electronic devices (students should be cheering on their classmates and fellow Eagles)
    • no phones, no music
  • homework
  • running shoes with spikes/cleats
  • frisbee, football

Concessions:
Concessions will be limited, bring a lunch and snacks!

Pick up:


For parents that are in attendance, students may leave after the track meet is over and all students have assisted with clean-up.  We expect all students to stay through the whole track meet to encourage others who are still participating in the events. Students need to bring their adult to check out with Mrs. Degraaf at the end of the meet. Student will not be released until they have participated in clean-up. Christian Studies: No memory test this week.

 Math 3: Study Guide Review #1-42 all, due next Monday.  Test next Monday.  Extra Credit: RTGO pg. 616 ALL questions - extra credit will only be given if all questions have been answered, and how much depends on the number correct.

 6th Science: Test tomorrow over chapter 2.

 7th Science: Finish lab.  Re-do virtual lab if needed to save in Google drive and submit in Classroom.

 Grammar/Homeroom:  Quiz over adjectives and degrees of comparison tomorrow.

 Math 3: 11-6 WS Practice B.  Chapter 11 test will be Tuesday.  All resubmissions due Tuesday.

 6th Science: Sect. 3 Review and chapter reviews due Tuesday.  Test Tuesday.

 7th Science: Check Monday that pgs. 84-85 read, vocab notes, and answered questions.  Also due Monday, open notes quizzes on lessons 1-2 and Virtual Lab from Lesson 3.  Make sure to save the lab to Google Drive (lab report, print, change destination to "save to Google Drive") and submit on Google Classroom.

 8th Science: Section 2 review due Monday.  Monday will be a workday for the section 3 and chapter reviews.
