Christian Studies:  Memory test tomorrow. Today we had a quiz over unit 7 and turned in workbooks for grading over the break. 

 Math 3: Chapter 10 test today, no homework.

 Science: Review for Chapter 1, test tomorrow, open notes.

Upcoming Events:
  • Mrs. Allwardt and most of the 8th graders are heading to D.C. early tomorrow!
  • Chapel will be held on Friday in honor of Good Friday.
  • This Friday, March 30, is an early release day for Good Friday, also.  Students will be dismissed at 11:15am.
  • Friday is a Standard of Dress day - no spirit/logo clothing, please.
  • Next week is Spring Break (April 2-6).  The Bethlehem Lutheran staff wishes you a very blessed and joyous Easter and a great vacation!
  • School will resume on Monday, April 9.

Christian Studies: Memory test Thursday (since we have chapel on Friday).  Since this is the monthly verse, it will be spoken instead of written.  Today we talked about the Parable of the Five Talents.

 Math 3: Today was the last work day before the test.  The Chapter 10 test will be Wednesday. All lesson resubmissions are due Wednesday.  The review assignments are also due Wednesday (most students have only part of one assignment to finish):
  • RTGO? pg. 574 #1-12 
  • Study Guide (Review) pgs. 578-580 #1-20 all (skip #8)
  • Chapter Test (Review) pg. 581 #1-16 all (skip #14)

 Science: We continued to review for the Chapter 1 test on Thursday.  You can use quizlet to practice for the test.  There is also a study guide available on Google Classroom.

Upcoming Events:

  • Tomorrow is the Fall Fest Fun Day!  It will be a Spirit Wear day for the students.
  • There is no Chapel on Wednesday this week.  Chapel will be held on Friday in honor of Good Friday.
  • This Friday, March 30, is an early release day for Good Friday, also.  Students will be dismissed at 11:15am.

Christian Studies: Memory test today.  We also talked about Luther's explanation of the second article and the parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector.

 Math 3: Today was a work day, as will be Monday.  Chapter 10 test will be next Wednesday. All lesson resubmissions are due next Wednesday.  Review assignments (due Wednesday):

 Science: The test for Chapter 1 will be next Thursday.  It will be an open notes test, so make sure your notes are all up to date! Due Monday: Chapter 1, Section 3 Review on pg. 23, assigned on Google Classroom.  In class today we reviewed the answers to both section 1 and section 2 reviews, and had a fun, competetive whole class review.  The study guide for the test is on Google Classroom, as is a link to quizlet.com with several sets of vocabulary and information that you can study for the test.

Next Tuesday, 3/27: Fall Fest Fun day!  We will have Tears of Joy visiting to share their puppeteering skills,  Between the Buns and We Ice will be here for lunch, and other fun activities throughout the day!

Next Friday, 3/30: Good Friday, Early Release.

 Math 3: Today was a work day, as will be tomorrow and Monday.  Chapter 10 test will be next Wednesday. All lesson resubmissions are due next Wednesday.  Review assignments (due Wednesday):

Christian Studies: Memory test Friday.  We had buddies today and began talking about a woman anointing Jesus.

 Math 3: 10-7 #9-33 all (there will be work time for questions tomorrow in class).
Note: Chapter 10 test will be next Wednesday. All lesson resubmissions are due next Wednesday.

 Science: We continued talking about plant and animal cells.  Homework: finish labeling the names of the organelles on the animal cell flip book organelle functions page.  We will finish the notes tomorrow.  Note: Chapter 1 test will be next Thursday.

 Math 3: 10-6 #2-20 evens (expanding on the assignment from Thursday).

 Science: Chapter 1, section 2 review was due in class today.  We took notes today and began section 3.  No homework tonight.

Christian Studies: Memory test today. 

 Math 3: 10-6 #2-10 evens, due Monday.  We will finish 10-6 notes on Monday as well.


 Science:  We finished lab stations today and started working on the Ch.1, Sec. 2 Review in Google Classroom:  Answer the review questions on page 19. Make sure to use complete sentences for all answers and to answer each part of the question. On multiple choice questions, type out the question and the answer you choose.

Christian Studies: Memory test tomorrow.  Chapel today - the 7th graders were amazing!!!!

 Math 3: 10-5 WS Practice B.  If you needed to finish working out a few problems on RTGO from yesterday (after getting questions answered today) you may turn it in at the beginning of class tomorrow.

 Science: Today we did lab stations on plant cells and animal cells.  We will finish lab stations tomorrow. Reading and notes through the end of section 2 (pg. 18) is due tomorrow.  All yellow highlighted terms should be on the key term fold, and all organelles from the reading should be filled out on the organelles fold-out.

Christian Studies: Memory test Thursday. 7th grade chapel is tomorrow!

 Math 3: Today was a work day.  Students worked on 10-4 (can turn in at the start of class tomorrow if they needed to finish after class) and RTGO? pg. 556 #1-13 (due tomorrow).

 Science: HW: Reading and notes on pages 16-17, and filling in key terms fold and organelles fold-out.  Homework will be checked on Thursday.

Christian Studies: Memory test Thursday this week. We continued to practice for our chapel, coming this Wednesday!

 Math 3: 10-4 #1-16 all.  There were only a couple minutes to start working on this assignment at the end of class, so there will be at least 15 minutes tomorrow to ask questions and get help, but I expect that you will work on the homework tonight and not be starting it at the beginning of class tomorrow.

 Science: HW: Finish reading and taking notes on pgs. 15-16.  Also add any yellow highlighted words to your key terms fold, and fill out organelles from 14-16 that are included on the organelles fold-out (not all of them are on it).

Christian Studies: Memory test today.  We continued to work on our chapel presentation.

 Math 3:  10-3 HW #1-16, 18 (this includes #1-6 from yesterday's HW)

 Science: If not completed in class, finish reading and taking notes on pgs. 12 &13.  Also fill in "cell wall" and "cell membrane" on your fold-out organelles notes that we glued together today.  Make sure any yellow highlighted words are included on your key terms fold.

Christian Studies: Memory test Friday, chapel today.

 Math 3:  We did an activity on experimental and theoretical probability.  If  you did not finish the worksheet questions, they are due at the beginning of class tomorrow.  10-2 (from yesterday) is due during class tomorrow, there will be time for a question or two.

 Science: Lab stations today.  There will be time to finish one lab station tomorrow, any additional are homework tonight.  Change: Ch.1, S1 review questions due FRIDAY (instead of tomorrow).  If you finished all your lab stations tomorrow, you can work on this while the other groups are finishing their last station.

Christian Studies: Buddies today.  We also had a fire drill this morning.  We still need a few more props for our chapel if you have them available.

- baby wipes box (empty)
- 1 pair of boots (small, shiny, red if possible)

 Math 3: 10-2  #1-15 all

 Science: Chapter 1, Section 1 Review (pg. 11) due in Google Classroom on Thursday.  Make sure to answer using complete sentences.

Christian Studies: Memory test Friday. We continued practicing for our chapel.  We still need more props for our chapel! 

Props still needed for chapel:
-10 boxes (medium size)
- baby wipes box (empty)
- yellow cellophane grass
- 1 pair of boots (small, shiny, red if possible)
-1 blue baby blanket
-1 green jacket
-1 RC car
-3 (or more) other blankets

 Math 3:  10-1 WS Practice B - worksheet handed out at the end of class, you will have 15 minutes to work on it tomorrow and ask questions, but should do what you can tonight.

 Science: We attended the 5th grade D.A.R.E. graduation.

Christian Studies:  Memory test today.  We had a chance to look at electives for next trimester and run-through our script for chapel.  We still need more props for our chapel.  Props provided will be returned to you after our chapel, or can be sent to the Mission if you do not want them back.
